Finmin wants to raise tax fraud threshold for criminal punishment

MOSCOW, Sep 6 (PRIME) – Raising the amount of tax fraud subject to criminal responsibility is necessary, Deputy Finance Minister Ilya Trunin said on the sidelines of a forum on Thursday.

“I think, this is my personal opinion, that as any other absolute figure measurements, they must be indexed. They have long been on the level what they are now and much time has passed. This factor alone is why we need to raise them,” Trunin said.

The threshold of the tax fraud criminal responsibility amounts to 5 million rubles for three financial years.
